DHYG 440 Research Methodology

(formerly DHYG 340) Reviews the meaning of evidence-based dentistry and standard of care. Qualitative and quantitative research methodologies are discussed with an emphasis on critical evaluation of scientific literature in health-related areas. Provides the student with the opportunity to design, implement and present a project that enriches their existing knowledge and contributes to the profession of dental hygiene. Methods of instruction include guided facilitation, demonstration, case studies, and classroom activities.
