PLA 100 Prior Learning Assessment

This course offers students the opportunity to receive prior learning credit through a portfolio assessment process by which prior learning can be analyzed, articulated, documented and assessed for academic credit. A student must demonstrate achievement of prior learning outcomes based on the evaluation of evidence that is valid, authentic, sufficient and occurred within the last 10 years. College-level knowledge, skills and abilities may have been acquired through work experience, formal corporate or military training, operating a business, working with a volunteer or community organization, civic leadership, and independent study.
