Online/Blended/Distance Education Courses
For online or blended courses, attendance is based on submission of gradable assignments, assessments, exams, or weekly discussion threads.  Students will be reflected as 'in attendance' when these items are posted within the Learning Management System.  Any student who does not participate for 14 consecutive days will be dropped from the course.  If a student does not participate in all registered courses for more than 14 consecutive days from the last date of attendance, the student will be dropped from all courses and dismissed from the University.

Military Duty

Students whose military service requires them to be absent from their scheduled classes will not be penalized.  The student must provide the appropriate program Dean/Chair with written documentation verifying the required military leave and length of time requested.  Students who are absent for more than the maximum allowed absences for the program including time for military service, will need to take a Leave of Absence.
