Online Division Scholarships and Grants

WCU Nursing Partner Grant Tier I:  WCU has established a Nursing Partner grant in order to promote online higher education to the employees of selected WCU Nursing Partners, including active members of the US Armed Forces.  Grant amounts vary but will not exceed 10% of tuition charges each term.  To be eligible for the Tier I Nursing Partner Grant, a candidate must meet all of WCU's admissions requirements, be admitted to the university, complete the Nursing Partner attestation regarding employment at one of WCU's selected Nursing Partners or active duty military service, and allow for verification of eligibility.  Verification of eligibility may require the student to submit documentation of proof of employment by the Nursing Partner or proof of active duty status.  A current list of selected Nursing Partners is available in the Admissions Office.  The WCU Nursing Partner Grant may not be combined with any other WCU scholarships or grants.


WCU Nursing Partner Grant Tier II:  (Formerly known as WCU Partner Grant)  WCU has established a Nursing Partner grant in order to promote online higher education to the employees of WCU's top Nursing Partners.  Grant amounts vary but will not exceed 20% of tuition charges each term.  To be eligible for the Tier II Nursing Partner Grant, a candidate must meet all of WCU's admission requirements, be admitted to the university, complete the Nursing Partner attestation regarding employment at one of WCU's top Nursing Partners and allow for verification of eligibility.  Verification of eligibility may require the student to submit documentation of proof of employment by the Nursing Partner.  A current list of top Nursing Partners is available in the Admissions Office.  The WCU Nursing Partner Grant may not be combined with any other WCU scholarships or grants.  


WCU Community College Partner Grant:  WCU has established a Community College Partner grant in order to promote online higher education to graduates of WCU's Community College partners.  Grant amounts vary but will not exceed 15% of tuition charges each term.  To be eligible for the Community College Partner Grant, a candidate must meet all of WCU's admissions requirements, be admitted to the university, and provide proof of graduation from one of WCU's partner Community Colleges.  A current list of Community College partners is available in the Admissions Office.  The Community College Partner Grant may not be combined with any other WCU scholarships or grants.  


WCU ACNL Grant:  WCU has established the ACNL grant in order to promote online higher education to full members of ACNL.  Grant amounts vary but will not exceed 10% of tuition charges each term.  To be eligible for the ACNL Grant, a candidate must meet all of WCU's admissions requirements, to be admitted to the university, and be a full ACNL member in good standing.  Grant may not be combined with any other WCU scholarships or grants.


WCU Employer Partner Grant:  WCU has established an Employer Partner grant in order to promote online higher education to the employees of WCU's top Employer Partners.  Grant amounts vary but will not exceed 10% of tuition charges each term.  To be eligible for the Employer Partner Grant, a candidate must meet all of WCU's admissions requirements, be admitted to the university, complete the Employer Partner attestation regarding employment at one of WCU's top Employment Partners and allow for verification of eligibility.  Verification of eligibility may require the student to submit documentation of proof of employment by the Employment Partner.  A current list of top Employment Partners is available in the Admissions Office.  The WCU Employer Partner Grant may not be combined with any other WCU scholarships or grants.  


Alumni Pathway Grant:  The Alumni Pathway grant is available to American Career College or West Coast University alumni who enroll in online programs.  West Coast University has established an Alumni Pathway grant in order to promote online higher education to the alumni of West Coast University or American Career College. Grant amounts will not exceed $5,000 ($4,000 for RN-BSN), and will be applied proportionately each trimester.  Not all students will receive the maximum amount as the total award will be pro-rated based on credits attempted at West Coast University (not transfer credits).  To be eligible for the Alumni Pathway grant, a candidate must meet all of WCU's admissions requirements, be admitted to the university, and have graduated from a degree or VN program at either American Career College or West Coast University.  Please contact the WCU Financial Aid department for additional information.  The Alumni Pathway grant may not be combined with any other WCU scholarships or grants.  


WCU Nursing Partner Scholarship:  WCU provides a limited number of full scholarships to employees of WCU's premier Nursing Partners.  Nursing Partner Scholarship awardees are selected by the individual Nursing Partner.  Students must meet all WCU admissions requirements and be admitted to the University.  A list of participating Nursing Partners is available in the Admissions Office.  Continued employment by the Nursing Partner is required for renewal of the scholarship each academic year.  


MSN Alumni Pathway Grant:  The MSN Alumni Pathway grant was only available to online students who enroll in the inaugural class of MSN advanced generalist program.  It has since been discontinued.
