Financial Aid Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for financial aid, a student must:

  1. Demonstrate financial need (for most programs).
  2. Be a citizen of the United States or an eligible permanent resident;
  3. Have a valid Social Security number;
  4. Be enrolled in an eligible program;
  5. Maintain satisfactory academic progress toward graduation;
  6. Be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED or the equivalent;
  7. Not be in default on any federal student loan nor owe a refund on a federal grant received at any postsecondary college or institution;
  8. Be registered with the U.S. Selective Service requirements, if applicable.
