PHAR 600F Capstone Skills Lab

The sixth and final Skills Lab serves as a Capstone Lab to help students consolidate their clinical skills and their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the pharmacist in various practice settings.  In particular, this Skills Lab will build on skills developed in previous didactic courses and other Skills Labs in order to optimize personal performance going into the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs).  Throughout the Capstone Skills Lab students will have opportunities to refresh calculation skills, reinforce knowledge about common medications, and reinforce and polish their disease state management skills.  Students will be exposed to integrated patient case scenarios and tasked to evaluate, prioritize, assess and provide appropriate treatment recommendations in accordance with clinical guidelines.  This skills lab course will serve as an integral component to ensure student APPE readiness.
