PHAR 601 Pharmaceutics I

This course introduces the principles and technologies applied in the preparation of various pharmaceutical dosage forms.  It entails the application of physical and chemical characteristics of active ingredients and excipients to the design, development, formulation, stabilization, and quality control of pharmaceutical dosage forms.  This course also presents the compedia methods of evaluation of different dosage forms.  Regulations and standards governing manufacturing of pharmaceuticals are also introduced in this course.
