NURS 668L Family Nurse Practitioner Residency I

This residency is designed to prepare FNP residents to take on full responsibility for comprehensive primary care services for complex populations across all life cycles. FNP residents will work with faculty with a wide variety of expertise and clinical interests, including women's health, international family medicine, addiction medicine, chronic illness care, complementary medicine, office procedures, and new models of health care delivery. During this residency, students will seek out opportunities to engage in a number of specialty care and research opportunities. During these clinical experiences, students will be under the supervision of qualified nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physician preceptors. FNP clinical practicum is a total of 135 hours
