CMHC 670 Individual Evaluation and Assessment

This course is designed to expose students to different assessments and other forms of evaluation and the role they play in the counseling relationship. These include but are not limited to, basic concepts of standardized and non-standardized testing and other assessment techniques, including norm-referenced and criterion-referenced assessment, environmental assessment, intellectual assessment, individual and group test and inventory methods, behavioral observations, and computer-managed and computer-assisted methods. Emphasis will be given to understanding strategies for selecting, administering, and interpreting assessment and evaluation instruments and techniques in counseling. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include online, blended, and face to face modalities.
